Kangra is a beautiful valley location and municipal district in Himachal Pradesh. Historically it is also known as Nagarkot. But now we renamed him to Kangra(such a sweet name). You can explore the valleys present here, can enjoy the sunrise and sunsets, explore Kangra fort. Also do you know for religious folks out there, it has many ancient religious temples such as Chintpurni Dham, Chamunda Devi Temple, Jwalaji Temple etc. to dive you deep into devotion of God.

McLeod Ganj is the place where you are going to do all the activities from trekking to shopping. It is also known as "Little Lhasa" because of its immense population of Tibetans. It is located on the Dhauladhar range. Because of its Tibetan population, a lot of people come here to discover their culture, crafts, study etc. This place is also known for its Tibetan handicrafts and products. The culture of this place is really mesmerizing. One should definitely not miss this specially. Major attractions are:- HPCA Stadium, Dal Lake, Bhagsunag temple and waterfall, St. John church, Mall road, Dalai lama temple, Trihund trek and war memorial.
How to reach here- It is approx. 18-20km from Kangra(hardly will take around 40min to reach here). You can come by state bus and private vehicles. There is no airport around here. So you have to land in Kangra as it is the nearest airport out there.
Rahul:- Hi, everyone again! I hope that my friend Dharamshala has initially told you about himself. Now its my turn to provide you the budget friendly itinery.
In my opinion, you should take either a bus from Delhi or your private vehicle to reach here. I will provide you the itinery from Punjab as i have travelled from there with rental bike.. Although private vehicles are considered mostly because you can stop anywhere anytime for rest, pics etc. as per your convenience. You can rent bike easily which will cost you around 800-1000 for bullet. So I will discuss the itinery after you have reached Kangra in the morning.

COST😕(seh lenge thoda)
Vehicle cost🚗:-
- Bus(Delhi-Kangra) - Rs.700-800 per person
- Private vehicle would cost you fuel worth Rs.3000-3500
- Rental bike cost will totally depend on the model of bike. For ex:- Bullet will cost you Rs. 800-1100 per day without fuel.
Hotel🏨:-
This also depends on the type and location of the hotel. For ex:- in Kangra a good hotel will cost you around Rs.800-1200(with 2 time meal) per day while in McLeod Ganj it will cost you around Rs. 1000-1500 per day(without meal).(Note:- Cost may vary because of seasons, meals and locations)
Shopping👜:-
Shopping would be costly because it is a tourist hill station. Just try to bargain to reach the optimum price. (Just say 150 rupaya dega)😁
Extra costs(don't ignore kyunki lagenge bhai):-
Ticket prices, outdoor meals, mandir donations and prasad, camping equipment(if it is allowed). Just have that extra 1000-2000 in your pocket for safety.
Hope you will enjoy visiting Dharamshala because it is worth it.
